Various pharmacy institution in the UK have written recommendations to the Universities offering Prescribing courses on what the deem “good” attributes for a Designated Prescribing Practitioner. None of these points have to be met unless the Universities themselves adopt these standards. In most cases, in order to become a DPP, all that is needed is being a prescriber and mandatory attendance to an introductory lecture by the university.
